Earthworks
G J Gaywood is equipped to carry out all aspects of traditional earthmoving with experience based on over 20 years of operating within the Civil Engineering & Building industry.


The company is structured to manage projects varying from minor housing developments to major civils projects.


With modern plant controlled by experienced earthworks supervisors, bulk excavation and filling (the traditional “cut and fill” exercise) can be carried out to meet industry standard, or contract-specific, specifications.


Where required, full on site testing can be incorporated into the earthworks operation, using independent UKAS certified laboratories.


Demolition & Remediation
G J Gaywood moved into demolition in 1985. We subsequently undertook a major investment programme resulting in the complete replacement of the plant and vehicle fleet. We also revised all operational and HSE procedures resulting in successful projects for a number of major clients including HBG, Simons Construction and Shanks Waste.


G J Gaywood operate a range of excavators, including “long reach” Liebherr 954’s all with quick-release couplings for demolition grabs, pulverisers, concrete and steel shears, and silenced boom-mounted breakers.


Our demolition service is available for stand-alone projects or as part of an integrated package for brownfield based commencement for any new build. 


Together with demolition itself, we offer total site remediation with expertise in asbestos removal, disposal of hazardous waste and contaminated soil disposal.


Asbestos
G.J. Gaywood Ltd is fully licensed for the removal of Asbestos products, either as part of a demolition package or in isolation.
