Founded in 1961, A C Bacon Engineering Ltd quickly established a reputation for high quality buildings and outstanding service - a reputation which the fourth generation of the family safeguards to this day.


In the early years, the company specialised in agricultural and industrial buildings, and we are still prominent in those areas. But today, we apply our skills and experience to a very wide range of projects, including schools, hospitals, office blocks, sports halls and leisure facilities, and even the occasional zoo.

INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL STEEL BUILDING
Working with architects, main contractors, and structural engineers, we have accumulated vast experience in the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork for a huge range of applications - industrial premises and warehousing, offices, leisure facilities, schools, hospitals, zoos etc.


We are preferred steelwork and cladding sub-contractors to several major construction companies and we are usually involved as part of the project team from the earliest stages.


REFURBISHMENTS
Dilapidated steel-framed buildings can often be given a new lease of life by refurbishment of cladding and upgrading the insulation to modern standards.


Our refurbishment service includes the safe removal and disposal of old asbestos sheeting, replacement of roof and wall cladding with composite or built up systems, and, if required, remodelling or extending the framework to take account of a change of use.


Each project is supervised by an experienced Contracts Manager, who will schedule the works to keep disruption of day-to-day operations to a minimum.


DOORS
AC Bacon's specialist Door Division is dedicated to the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of all kinds of industrial and commercial doors.

 All doors are individually manufactured to the size and finish required (galvanised, colour-coated steel etc). Operation can be manual or electric, and remote-control systems are available

 
LIGHTWEIGHT BUILDINGS
Our lightweight buildings are made from galvanised cold-rolled steel frames. A wide range of cladding options, roller doors and personnel doors are available, all in a variety of colours.


The buildings are supplied as a kit, made to your exact measurements, ready for you to assemble. However, if you wish, our team of trained fitters can assemble the building on your behalf
Cost savings and speedier deliveries are acheived by using automated design and drawing systems and easy to handle pieces that bolt together on concrete slabs. Further savings can be acheived by assembling the building yourself - instructions and drawings are provided free of charge:
