Antec Contracting Services (Anglia) Ltd was established in 1991. We offer a fully licensed and insured, safety conscious service in asbestos removal and surveying. With a wealth of knowledge gained from extensive experience and training, Antec are able to advise and assist in all phases of the control and elimination of asbestos from the identification of problem areas to the completion of remedial measures.

Antec holds a full licence (4910503507) to remove asbestos issued and regulated by the HSE (Health and Safety Executive) under the Asbestos (Licensing) Regulations 1983.

Along side the remedial services provided by Antec, our Surveying team offers an extensive knowledge and experience in locating and identifying asbestos containing materials (ACMs). All our surveyors have been trained to BHOS P402 standard in order to carry out Types 1, 2 and 3 Asbestos Surveys to MDHS100 standard depending on the need of the client. Previous clients include a printing factory, various RAF sites and numerous other commercial premises.

Asbestos Surveys
In May 2004, the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002 (CAWR) brought into force an explicit duty to manage asbestos in non-domestic premises. This means that under the new regulations, all non-domestic premises regardless of the type of business carried out in them, have to comply with this duty which also covers the common areas of domestic premises such as halls, stair wells, lift shafts and roof spaces. It is the responsibility of the Duty Holder to ensure that the premises they are responsible for the maintenance and/or repair of complies with these regulations.

All our Surveyors are BOHS (British Occupational Hygiene Society) qualified and will be participating in the forthcoming National Individual Asbestos Certification Scheme (NIACS) which is being set up as a joint venture between ARCA and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

Antec Surveyors are able to carry out Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 Asbestos Surveys of your premises to identify, assess and manage any asbestos containing materials and issue a full report which forms the basis of your asbestos register in accordance with MDHS100.

Antec is registered as a carrier of `Controlled Waste' under the Control of Pollution (Amendment) Act 1989.

Antec is a full member of ARCA (Asbestos Removal Contractors Association) since 2001 and we are proud to participate in their Site Audit Accreditation Scheme (SAAS). In January 2004, Antec was awarded a Quality Assurance Award under SAAS `in recognition of [our] excellent site standards, safe working methods and management systems'. We are also registered with Construction-line.

All asbestos personnel are trained by ARCA on an annual basis to ensure all safety practices are reinforced, observed and implemented on site.
